DAVID HARE'S political play Gethsemane, which is loosely influenced by events in Downing Street during Tony Blair's term, begins previews at the National Theatre on November 4, the day of the U.S.
presidential election. Highly appropriate, I suspect. The play -- whose cast includes Tamsin Greig as the Home Secretary and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as her private secretary (as well as Anthony Calf, Pip Carter, Adam James, and Jessica Raine as the PM and other Cabinet ministers) -- has been going through swift edits during rehearsals, presumably to write in tales from the Blair era that keep emerging.See the full content of this document
