MAN Group, the world's biggest hedge fund firm, is axing 270 jobs after a steep slide in full year profits.

It makes most of its money from management fees which have tumbled after rattled investors pulled billions of pounds out of its funds. It currently manages around Pounds 33bn, down 36pc in a year.
