QUESTION Why is the track Shiny Happy People, one of REM's biggest UK hits, not on their latest 'best of' CD? What other examples of glaring omissions from compilation CDs are there?

THE REM compilation is a 'best of' and not a 'greatest hits'. REM don't consider it one of their best and, wishing to dissociate themselves from it, stopped playing it at concerts almost a decade ago (though they later performed it on Sesame Street under the title Furry Happy Monsters).
