BT HAS finally bowed to pressure from Money Mail and agreed to launch two initiatives to protect its customers from rogue internet diallers.

The scam, highlighted in Money Mail last summer, exposed fraudsters who divert your phone line from your usual internet provider to a premium rate number, often in remote countries such as Sao Tome in West Africa.
