AL-QARADAWI was first banned from the U.S. in 1999 under the Immigration Act which refused entry into the U.S. to anyone who promoted racial or religious hatred.
The ban was renewed under the Terrorism Act, which was passed in the aftermath of 9/11 and gives the authorities tough powers to exclude individuals.See the full content of this document
