In a corner of this prison was a 'feeding machine' - a large sow. She was lying on her side, obviously forced into a crate so small that she was unable to turn even her head or make any movement at all.

On the side of the crate facing into the room, the bars had been removed, exposing her swollen stomach and teets and giving easy access for the piglets to feed from her.
