ANDY MURRAY faced a Michael Ballack lookalike last night and performed the tennis equivalent of a nutmeg on him to reach the French Open third round.

Crafty, skilful and attack-minded, the British No 1 ran rings round strapping Argentine clay court specialist Jose Acasuso to register an impressive 6-4, 6-0, 6-4 victory in 98 minutes. Murray displayed his full repertoire to dismantle his more mechanical opponent and put in his best performance on clay to date, underpinned by strong serving and no little volleying.
