FEAR of needles could soon be a thing of the past. A new device that makes the skin more porous, allowing rub-on medication to pass through in seconds, could revolutionise the way drugs are administered.
Its first use will be to anaesthetise the skin itself quickly before painful procedures, but other uses are being developed, including delivery of flu and other vaccinations, fast pain relief, and monitoring blood-sugar levels in diabetics.See the full content of this document
