AFTER being laid low by infirmity and ill-health for the past few months, a gentle afternoon stroll around Hyde Park with a friend seemed like the perfect way for Baroness Thatcher to mark the latest stage of her recuperation from a series of strokes. But her companion had clearly reckoned without the 80-year-old's inability to take things easy, as the Iron Lady, sporting a bright yellow scarf, fairly marched along.

'Lady Thatcher walked briskly for the whole way with no sign of slowing down,' I'm told.
