Dear Jonathan, I recently watched a labrador training to become a guide dog. This creature eagerly sacrificing its life to help others made me wonder if the human experience really is the best opportunity for spiritual development. Maybe people become dogs in the next life if they have acquired enough love and selflessness in this one. Sue Dear Sue, The behaviour of an animal, at its best, is surely more laudable than that of a person at their worst. But when people go beyond fear, prejudice and resentment and sincerely strive to be a force for good that's another story..
