Summary
EVERY so often, I take a brief break and get someone else to prepare the daily forecasts. Sometimes people ask: 'Can't you just write them in advance, before you go on holiday?' Once upon a time, that's what I did. But then I found I needed a longer holiday to recover from the effort! I have been extra busy lately, preparing my first set of spoken forecasts for 2010. Look out for news, soon, of when you can hear them. Meanwhile, from tomorrow, I'm leaving my colleague Steve Judd in charge of this page. I'll be back on Friday.
