Summary
IF YOU have been following this page lately, you will know that a 'Green Gathering' has been mysteriously cancelled, possibly because their traffic signs were the wrong shade of yellow or perhaps because they didn't order enough road cones. I have since heard a strange story about a local firm who advise Mendip Council on licensing such events. Allegedly, this firm wanted to charge the organisers a substantial fee for helping them comply with their licence. When a cheaper but equally reputable firm got the job, the council lost confidence in the gathering and pressured them to cancel. Surely not?
