Summary
WHILE the rest of the nation was gripped by international fever on the back of Scotlands stunning victories over Lithuania and France, Dundee Uniteds Jordan Robertson admits he was probably the only man desperate for the club game to return to top billing. The on-loan Sheffield United striker made an immediate impact following his move to Tannadice last month, scoring on his debut against Ross County, then helping Craig Leveins side brush past Falkirk to claim fourth spot in the SPL. The bustling 19-year-old slotted in alongside teammate Noel Hunt and was looking forward to developing a prolific partnership with the Irishman only for the international break to stop their progress in its tracks. Now that the Euro 2008 qualifiers are on the backburner once again, Robertson is looking forward to terrorising more SPL defences and cant wait to get back into action against St Mirren tomorrow.
He said: The international break came at the wrong time for me, really. Its still been a frustrating couple of weeks because I just want to be playing as much as possible right now. I had been doing well and the team was going along nicely, so its just a pity the qualifiers came round when they did. If wed been struggling or low on confidence, then we maybe would have welcomed it, but were the opposite right now.See the full content of this document
