AFTER spending more than two hours going round what looked like a giant obstacle course, Daniel Keatings ended yesterday's hexathlon of gymnastics flat on his backside.

An untidy dismount from the rings, the last discipline in the men's individual all-around final, saw the 18-year-old from Kettering slip back into 20th place. Sounds like another sad episode in a tale of British gymnastics failure at the Olympics that is almost as old as the Games themselves.
