ONE of three living survivors from the Khmer Rouge's main torture centre testified yesterday that he endured beatings, electric shocks and had his toenails pulled out but was spared execution because he knew how to fix cars.

Some 1.7million people were killed during the savage regime's 1970s rule of Cambodia.
