A LOLLIPOP lady collapsed and had to be taken to hospital yesterday after being jailed for causing a head- on smash in which a father-of-two was killed.

Judge Lord Carloway noted the 'obvious distress' of Margaret Agnew, whom he described as a 'law-abiding woman' but claimed he had no alternative but to send her to prison for four-and-a-half years.
