THE SRU last night admitted i t has considered moving one of its two loss making professional teams to London in a bid to make it financially viable in the long term.

The idea, first mooted three years ago by former Murrayfield chief executive Phil Anderton, has been revived by his successor, Gordon McKie, as he looks at ways of reducing the SRU's overdraft, which currently stands at around Pounds 23million.
