THE decaying arm of a soldier has been found in France - almost certainly signalling the last known resting place of a 'Lost Army' of World War I troops.

Up to 400 British and 170 Australians are believed to have been buried in at least three pits in a small copse known as Pheasant's Wood - possibly the largest unmarked grave in recent military history.
