Summary

PEMBROKE and North County will contest this season's DGM League Cup Final, although Malahide came within few yards of denying Pembroke in their clash. Pembroke's Andrew Balbrinie was in excellent touch as he 87, with support coming from Graham McDonnell, who scored an unbeaten half-century off only balls as they posted 210 for eight.

The hosts began their chase immediately with skipper Mike O'Brien batting 59 to put the home side firmly on course. Johnny Pryor added 44 and James Henry 39, but Balbrinie managed to slow things up as his nine overs cost 31 runs. Pembroke skipper Peter Byrne then got in amongst the Malahide batsmen, eventually returning superb figures of five for 32 as the semi-final came down to sudden death.
