YOU may think the only flowers youll see in February are the roses exchanged on Valentines Day, but dig a little deeper and youll discover a myriad of valiant and glamorous specimens that will contribute a glorious sparkle to winter beds and borders.

Originating from as far afield as Chile, Korea and Tasmania, the finest collection of flowering plants are curiously all related, being members of the pea family. They have lobed blooms, the lower lobe being larger than the upper, and thrive in sharply drained soils.
