QUESTION Can anyone claim to have listened to Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music in its entirety? Did they enjoy the experience? THIS question inspired me to dig out my double LP of this album. The discs were in perfect condition because I managed to listen to it for only about five minutes back in 1975 - before I ran screaming from the room.

The album consists of nothing but endless drones and shrieks of guitar feedback piled on top of each other; a 64-minute aural assault.
