ASTON VILLA midfielder James Milner has been named in Stuart Pearce's England Under 21 squad for Tuesday's friendly against Ecuador in Malaga.

Milner, 23, the England recordholder for caps at Under 21 level, had been tipped for a call-up to the full squad and could still get the nod for the seniors the following day against Spain if there are injuries.
