A 78-YEAR-OLD Christian Brother who had to pay more than double the standard price for car hire has forced a rental company into an embarrassing climbdown.

Australian-based Anthony White had to pay e25 extra every day on top of the flat daily charge of e18 when he leased a motor from Irish Car Rentals at Dublin Airport in May 2006.
