Summary
THERE were a number of sweeteners to pensioners and vulnerable elderly people.
Much of the cash is intended to help more live in their own homes rather than look for care places. The budget for community care, much of which goes on home helps, meals on wheels and other assistance, will rise from Pounds 10.6billion this year to Pounds 12.5billion by 2008.
