Summary
Bruce Springsteen Live In Dublin, Sunday, TV3, 3.40pm HE'S COME a long way since buying his first guitar for $18 aged 13, but blinded by the lights? No way. Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen is one of the most politically conscious performers out there and when he rolled into town last fall with his Seeger Sessions band, Irish - and indeed European - fans packed out venues right around the continent. The resulting three-night set of shows in Dublin's Point Depot was whittled down to produce this film and features 23 songs including This Little Light Of Mine, How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times And Live, and favourites from We Shall Overcome The Seeger Sessions, as well as a few all-time classic tracks from his earlier albums.
Considering there are rumours of a new album in the pipeline - with Bruce planning a reunion with his original E Street band - treat this as a timely reminder of what we have to come to expect from the great man himself. Here's hoping those rumours - and Bruce's legendary speed in the studio - prove true.See the full content of this document
