AS THE mother of a 15-year-old girl, I'm appalled that Mary Harney has decided to cut a life-saving treatment - a treatment that is widely available in Europe and in the North for the protection of their young daughters.

My daughter is every bit as important as these young girls, yet her Minister for Health is saying no, you can't have it; you will have to wait until I see how much I have left after paying all my spin people, all the administration teams set up to tell me how best to run our hospitals (albeit unsuccessfully to date), and all the consultants' salaries.
