POSSESSION of performance enhancing drugs may be a criminal offence in Britain before the 2012 Olympics.

The creation of a British agency independent of and with greater powers than UK Sport was announced yesterday. It is expected to be only the first step in a renewed war on drug cheats in the build-up to the London Games.
