Summary
I APPRECIATE the seriousness of the water shortage but had to laugh at the picture of the River Thames near Kew being used to illustrate it (Mail).This 'mere trickle' at the Strand on the Green can be seen at low tide every 24 hours, even lower at spring tides when the rise and fall is more accentuated.
