A MEDICAL expert has rejected claims by a Garda dog handler that the incessant din of German shepherds yapping for 20 noisy years is solely responsible for his deafness.

In a landmark legal case taken by Thomas Donnelly against the State, hearing expert Alexander Blaney said he did not know if the dogs barking was the main cause of the hearing loss.
