PRESIDENTIAL hopeful Barack Obama has been forced to defend himself against claims he invested in companies owned by his chief donors.

Mr Obama, who wants to become the first black man in the White House, faces questions about Pounds 25,800 worth of shares in two speculative companies, AVI Bio-Pharma and SkyTerra Communications.
