CAN you believe that in a country with so many obese people and where so much food goes to waste, there are an estimated three million people suffering from malnutrition? This was the alarming figure given by the prestigious nutrition society BAPEN (the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition).
I, for one, am shocked and appalled by this figure. The researchers estimated that of those three million, 93 per cent were living at home or in sheltered accommodation, 5 per cent were in care homes and 3 per cent were in hospitals and other NHS settings.See the full content of this document
