Freddie Mercury, Saturday, TG4 9.35pm FREDDIE MERCURY - sometimes referred to as 'Britain's first Asian rock star'- was as enigmatic as he was popular, in his glory days of the '70s and '80s. This documentary - another strong runner from the select stable of TG4 offerings - aims to dig beneath the private exterior and reveal more of the man who entertained so many.

Born in 1946, Farrokh Bulsara grew up on the island of Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania. He moved to England with his Doctor Who, Saturday, BBC1 6.20pm GIVEN an average rating of 4.5 out of five on the BBC's 'Fear Forecast' for this latest episode, it might not be suitable for very young children. But for those willing to brave the Doctor's latest adventure the rewards are indeed great - Donna is taken to her first alien world but learns some difficult home truths about the human race... family at the age of 17 to escape a revolution and formed two (unsuccessful) bands before meeting Brian May and Roger Taylor - and Queen was born.
