Summary
MSPs are party animals, never backward in organising a knees-up provided the public picks up the tab. Now they have earmarked Pounds 200,000 of taxpayers' money to pay for celebrations at the opening of the Holyrood parliament.
Since the building currently costs Pounds 431million, this is the crowning abuse of public funds. The Queen has already formally opened the Scottish parliament, as an institution. There is no excuse for repeating the performance, just because MSPs are moving to a new workplace.See the full content of this document
