For a start, most of us about to go on holiday, meaning we are spending our lunch hours trying on bikinis and sarongs in badly lit changing rooms, getting all hot and feeling ready to throw in the towel (why do I not have cellulite at home, but when I am in a shop I have suddenly grown some, even on my upper arms?).

We are also being thrown into a panic to buy summer clothes before the sales start next month and the autumn/ winter collections arrive.

But most worry-inducing of all, we are expected to wear pastel suits with matching bag, hat and shoes and sit in a free...
