Summary
FILM: The Truman Show, BBC1, 11.35pm (N Ireland 12.25am) TRUMAN BURBANK (Jim Carrey, pictured left) lives in the picturesque small town of Seahaven. He has a good job, a decent enough marriage, nice neighbours and friends, but to him something doesn't feel quite right.
Occasionally he gets the inkling that something is going on behind his back - and the truth is much more disturbing than he could possibly imagine. In fact Truman is being watched 24 hours a day by TV viewers the world over. His whole life is a sham: his wife, friends, colleagues and everyone he knows are all actors and Seahaven is a massive set teeming with hidden cameras. It's a devastatingly clever premise that is as discomfiting as it is intriguing and is scarily relevant given today's viewers' seemingly unquenchable desire for 'reality'TV.See the full content of this document
