A HELICOPTER which crashed in a fireball last month struck a lamp post as its pilot tried to land in a school car park, air accident investigators have found.

Witnesses told how it was 'an absolute miracle' that nobody was killed when the helicopter came down and burst into flames at Bettystown, Co. Meath The Sikorsky S76, worth around E10million, first landed on a beach around 100 metres away but the pilot decided to move it when a crowd gathered.
