A PLASTER is launched today that tackles the long-term pain caused by shingles. Thousands of Britons suffer from postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), an intense nerve pain which is a common complication of shingles infection.

Many find it difficult to go to work, sleep or even wear clothes because of the intensity of the burning, stabbing pains that can persist for months or years.
