THE FAI lost out on a potential E1million in gate receipts from the two friendly internationals in Thomond Park.
The games with Australia on August 12 and South Africa on Tuesday night were watched by just 30,700 fans, based on official FAI figures. As Thomond's capacity is 26,500, it meant there was room for another 22,300 fans to see Ireland's first internationals in Limerick. The FAI charged E55 for stand seats for the Australia game, which drew 19,400, including 2,500 complimentary admissions.See the full content of this document
