ROY Keane believes Robbie Keane's move to Liverpool can help his namesake secure membership of a club for truly elite Premier League strikers. While acknowledging the challenge confronting his former Irish colleague, the Sunderland manager feels it might just be what Keane needs to take his game up a level. 'Robbie's a good player, without a shadow of a doubt. 'Hopefully he can go on to the next level because he's probably been a bit behind the top, top players,' observed the Corkman. 'He's going to a top, top club.

You're going to a club like Liverpool where you're expected to win titles and European Cups. 'Maybe that wasn't the case at Tottenham. 'It's a big challenge for him.' 'It's clear Liverpool have been looking for an attack-minded player and they've got one in Robbie,' he added. Keane comes up against the Dubliner in the opening game of the Premier League season on August 16 when Sunderland host Liverpool at the Stadium of Light.
