THE biggest flat-race meeting of the year in Ireland, the three- day Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby meeting at the Curragh, begins tonight and the listed Saoire Stakes takes centre stage.
Since its inception three years ago, the Saoire has been won by a subsequent Group One winner in Listen (2007) and by a filly who would later win at Group Two level, Gaudeamus, the 2006 winner.
