BIG-GAME hunters were yesterday given the go-ahead to target the black rhino even though there are only 3,600 left in the world.

A global ban on hunting the animal was lifted at the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species in Bangkok. As a result, Namibia will allow five males to be killed each year while South Africa is expected to get a quota of ten.
