Students (and parents!) know fish is low in fat, high in protein and good for the brain, perfect for exam time.

If you're on a tight budget, frozen fish is a cheaper option to smoked haddock - defrost it overnight in the fridge. Once cooked, this main meal soup keeps well in the fridge for up to two days. If you want to spice up things a bit, finish the soup with a splash of Tabasco sauce. Serves: 2.
