IS BERTIE AHERN completely shameless? Forced out of office because nobody believed he was telling the truth about his personal finances, the former taoiseach now appears intent, in his new role as some sort of light entertainment personality, on rewriting the story of the national finances as well.
The current crisis, Mr Ahern told Ryan Tubridy yesterday, is nothing to do with him. Sorry, Mr Ahern, very few recessions happen overnight and this certainly wasn't one of them.
