FOR the umpteenth time in recent weeks, hungry punters gorged themselves on J Sainsbury.

As reheated rumours of a Pounds 6bn cash offer worth 350p a share did the rounds, shares of Britain's third-largest supermarket with 16pc of the UK grocery market soared to 3041/4p. They closed 8p up at a year's high of 302p.
