WHILE the world's financial system has been imploding, and the Tories have been making as much noise as they can at their conference in Birmingham, my mind has been haunted by an altogether different story: the murder of Frank McGarahan, a 45-year-old banker, in the centre of Norwich in the early hours of last Sunday morning.
Mr McGarahan was queuing for a taxi with his brother in the city centre when he saw a homeless Lithuanian man and his girlfriend being attacked by a gang of hoodlums.
