NOW into its fifth season, this 20-overs-each competition has rapidly become one of the most avidly supported and exciting cricket tournaments in the country, drawing in huge crowds as fans leave work and Grace Road is expected to be full to capacity this evening as the title-holders begin their defence of the crown. Having won this trophy twice in the past four years (with wicket-keeping batsman Paul Nixon, pictured, playing a crucial role) the Foxes are not only the current champions, but also the nation's masters in this event. If only the same could be said about them in the County Championship and Pro40 League they languish in the second division in both.
