A SCHOOL yesterday became the first in Scotland to ban an adventure trip over fears that teachers could be sued.

New union guidelines on excursions prompted staff at Airyhill Primary, Aberdeen, to scrap a residential weeklong Perthshire break for pupils. Staff fear the prospect of legal action if a child were to be injured.
