BARCLAY HOWARD, one of the finest amateur golfers Scotland has produced, last night admitted that he is 'honoured' to be chosen as captain of the Scottish youth team.

Winner of the Silver Medal at the 1997 Open Championship, Howard was welcomed back into the international set-up yesterday alongside George Crawford and Barrie Douglas, who will skipper the men's and boys' teams, respectively.
