STUART McCAFFREY last night threatened to sue the SPL in the wake of Inverness being denied their place in the Premier League next season.

The Caley Thistle defender claims the decision has placed a legal restriction on his income and will consult his legal adviser. 'It saddens me, but also angers me - because they are stopping me from bettering myself, in terms of my playing career and also in terms of my earnings,' insisted McCaffrey. 'I think there must be some sort of infringement on my human rights there. 'Frankly, I'm of a mind to sue them unless this is overturned on appeal. 'I don't see how they needed a vote when the criteria were all met and senior SPL figures like Chris Robinson have made it clear my club did not miss any deadline, considering there wasn't one for us to miss. 'The groundsharing concept was agreed a couple of months ago with Clyde's application to go to Kilmarnock - even earlier, when there were suggestions Dundee and Dundee United would end up groundsharing following the former's financial difficulties. 'If it needed a vote, it was simply on which ground.
