THE worst of the recent property market wobble might well be over as firm evidence emerges of buyers returning in force to the market. The only bad news for vendors is that buyers are getting the price they think a property is worth, rather than what the seller is asking.

According to the Halifax house price index, overall the cost of homes fell by half a per cent in February, so most estate agents and economists believe that a puncture in the property house market is letting it down slowly, rather than with a bang.
